Rachaya Al-Foukhar is known for its traditional clay artifacts and its land for agriculture. People cultivate several products including wheat, mulberries, cherries, figs, apples, grapes and olives. However, as in many Regions in Lebanon water is not reaching the cultivated land. Thanks to a $50,000 grant from Fadi Al Zouki Ambassador, Australian Lebanese Chamber of Commerce President, the Municipality accomplished the first stage of the project, which involved digging the well, coating its walls and making water testing. SEAL is providing the water pipes to connect the water from the well to the village for irrigation.
