This was the second project undertaken by SEAL with the ‘Association Cooperative des Femmes de Baskenta pour la Production Agricole et Artistique’. The cooperative was identified by the YMCA as one of the 100 best cooperatives in Lebanon (from a total of 1,800). SEAL funded the purchase of equipment for the women to increase the quantity and quality of their production and make it more marketable nationwide. The cost of the project included a refrigerator, a tomato juicer and three gas burners.
