Following the success of its apple tree rootstock projects in North Lebanon and Jezzine, SEAL sponsored the distribution of rootstocks to farmers in the Tarshish, Zahle area. The production and sale of apples generally represented the farmers’ single source of income. SEAL distributed 7,740 apple tree samplings to 516 farmers.
This project is a part of SEAL’s ROOTSTOCKS DISTRIBUTION program, which is committed to upgrading Lebanon’s agricultural supply chain through the distribution of high-grade fruit tree rootstocks.
