SEAL funded the purchase of 25 mixed-breed goats, for milk and cheese production.
The project was undertaken in conjunction with ADR, a local NGO that aims to develop human and natural resources in the rural areas of Lebanon, and helped locals to acquire the knowledge and capabilities necessary for the enhancement of their living conditions.
SEAL funded the purchase of the goats, which then lived in an enclosure, so as to protect the environment, and ADR worked on helping the farmers to produce and market the milk and cheese.
Goats were distributed to 12 farmers in the following villages: Bazourieh, Abbasseih, Deir Kanoun Al-Nahr, Maaraké, Al-Klaylieh, Teir Debba, Tyre, Jibchit and Toura.
