This project represented the second part of a water well project that SEAL funded in Aynata in 2008. SEAL purchased 2,000m of 4-inch water pipes in the third quarter of 2011.

Due to heavy rain/snow at the end of the year, the installation of the pipes took place in the spring/summer of 2012. Overall 2,000m of pipes were installed to bring more water from the previously constructed water well to an additional 250,000 m2 of unfarmed land.

This project benefited over 80 farmers who are now able to plant more vegetables and fruit trees, thereby generating more income for their families.

This project is a part of SEAL’s IRRIGATION NETWORK program, which digs wells and installs irrigation systems throughout Lebanon.
