Geographic Scope
Fnaydek, North Lebanon
Beneficiaries
30 women

The project aims to consolidate the development of the women’s cooperative of Fnaydek that recently restarted as well as to contribute towards marketing the traditional local food products made by the women of the Qememine village in a difficult context in terms of access to markets.

SEAL's funding allowed thirty women to produce “qamareddine of khokh”, conduct quality control, package the goods, and then sell them in supermarkets throughout Beirut. The project also involved lab testing, help from a marketing expert, design of both the logo and the packaging, patenting of the product, and shipping of the finished goods to the coast.

MADA is a non-sectarian, non-political NGO established in Lebanon in 2000.
