Budget

Geographic Scope
Baalbek, Bekaa Valley

SEAL funded the excavation of a water well in the village of Aynata, in an area that was not cultivated due to a lack of irrigation. Water was found at a depth of 70 meters, and a pump and pipes were installed. From 2008 onwards, many new fields were planted as a result of the well, mainly with apple trees. This resulted in a substantial increase in the area’s cultivated acreage, generating a steady income stream for many families.

This project is a part of SEAL’s IRRIGATION NETWORK program, which digs wells and installs irrigation systems throughout Lebanon.
